Crossbedding on Checkerboard Mesa This picture was taken beneath an overhang. Water that flows out of one Emerald Pool and into another cascades over the edge in between, making a the small waterfall you see here. Entrance to Zion NP looking up Zion Valley The Great White Throne, one of many large "monoliths" of the Navajo sandstone which result from weathering along the widely spaced joints that characterize the park.

Start of The Narrows, which is very scenic and lots of fun. However, take seriously the sign about Flash Flood Potential. The Narrows is a very narrow steep-walled canyon, and if the water starts rising fast, there isn't anyplace to escape it! Another of the Narrows.
