Dear EGC Workshop Participants,

 

Below are instructions on how to get from Willard airport (Champaign) and Midway Airport (Chicago)

to the Chancellor Inn.  At the bottom of this message are my phone numbers.

I will distribute information on breakfast and  pickups for the meeting in an email to follow.

 

From Willard Airport in Champaign:

 

Exit the airport (I don't think you can get lost) and at the first traffic light you make a left.

You are now on US-45 (Neil Street) heading north.

Go north about 3 miles until you get to Kirby Ave. There is a McDonalds on the SW corner of Neil and Kirby.

Continue north (straight)  through the light for about 100 yards, and the Chancellor Hotel will be on Neil St. on your left.

 

From Midway Airport, Chicago.

 

Take Cicero Ave. south about 12 miles or so to 167th St. It seems long but it beats the alternative.

There is a Shell gas station on the SW corner of Cicero and 167th street, and a sign for Interstate 57 S.

 

Make a left at 167th.  Get into the right lane immediately. After about 1/4 mile  on the right side of 167th street you will enter I 57 South.

 

Take I57th south until you get to Champaign.

 

Exit on I 74 East to Indianapolis.

 

Exit onto Neil Street south (a right after exiting at Neil). It is about 3 or 4 exits.

Take Neil St. south past Green St. Continue south and at the next stoplight there is a BP-Amoco gas station.

Continue south and on the right hand side of Neil is the Chancellor Hotel. If you get to a McDonalds at the next stoplight, you have gone too far.
