"The Oceans" is offered each semester
by the Department of Geology
at the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign . It is an introductory course that deals
with the sea floor and ocean sediments; the nature of sea water;
currents, waves, and tides in the oceans; marine life; and society's
impact on the oceans and use of its resources.
